This is a presentation I have given a bunch of times to creatives. In it’s most basic form, resilience is the capacity to cope with stress and adversity in everyday life. Stress and anxiety are two difficulties that many people tend to suffer from yet tend to leave untreated. By tapping into their resilience a person can often transform stress and anxiety. But the process is often difficult and long.
This presentation also sought to clear up misconceptions creative people have as to what resilience is and it answers four common questions. Those questions are: (1) What is it? (2) What are the psychological factors that lead to it? (3) How is the capacity for it built? and (4) Does culture affect it?
